About The New Zealand Classic Scooter Club
The club was started in 1995 as register of owners of old, interesting or unusual scooters, mopeds, and clip on bicycle motors. It is open to all people who own scooters or mopeds, no matter when they were made, as well as people interested in them. We also cater for small motorcycles. A classic is generally but not necessarily more than 20 years old. Currently there are around 100 or so members throughout New Zealand, and increasing.
The NZCSC produces three – four newsletters a year, one of which contains a list of the available literature (manuals etc). We are always keen for items for the newsletter i.e. photos of your machine[s] and restoration projects, reports on runs and any interesting information. You may also advertise classifieds free in the newsletter.
We organise a National Rally each summer. Rallies have been held in Hastings, Nelson, Waipukurau, Inglewood, the Wairarapa and so on. Rallies are well attended with both ancient and moderns attending. For those crossing the ditch we generally arrange a discounted fare with the railway’s ferries.
